1) Scope
This Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit our websites, purchase products, book services or events, join memberships, or use our digital tools (AI Mentor, Pest Identifier, Crop Forecaster, Microclimate Alerts, Voice-to-Journal, etc.).

You provide:
Account & profile (name, email, phone, password, location, preferences).
Purchases & bookings (services, dates, attendees, special requests).
Membership usage (messages to AI Mentor, voice notes, uploads for Pest ID, journal entries, crop/CSA preferences).
Communications (emails, forms, reviews, support requests).
Payment details processed by our payment provider(s) (we don’t store full card numbers).
Automatically:
Device & usage (IP address, browser, device IDs, pages viewed, timestamps, referring URLs).
Cookies and similar tech (see Cookies below).
Approximate location (ZIP/city) for alerts and forecasting.
From others:
Payment processors, analytics providers, mapping/video/SMS tools, weather services, and—if you connect—social media or calendar tools.
3) How we use information
Provide and improve the Site, products, bookings, memberships, and digital tools.
Personalize content (e.g., crop suggestions, microclimate alerts).
Communicate about orders, bookings, account changes, and support.
Process payments, billing, refunds, and shipping arrangements (receiver-pays).
Security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
Marketing (with your consent where required); you can opt out anytime.
4) Sharing information

Service providers (e.g., Wix, payment processors, email/SMS, analytics, video, maps, weather, cloud hosting) under contracts that limit their use to our services.
Business partners you choose to interact with (e.g., Farm Matchmaking listings).

5) Cookies & tracking
We use:

Advertising/retargeting (optional; off by default unless you enable).

6) SMS, email & push
Transactional emails/SMS (e.g., receipts, bookings, alerts) are part of the service.
Marketing: opt in/out anytime (email footer “Unsubscribe”; SMS text STOP; HELP for help). Standard carrier rates apply.
7) Data retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet legal obligations. Typical periods:
Account & membership: for your account life + up to 24 months after last activity.
Bookings & transactions: 4–7 years (tax & audit).
AI Mentor/Pest ID logs: up to 12 months (service quality & safety).
Voice-to-Journal entries: until you delete them or your account closes.
Web analytics: ~26 months (provider defaults may vary).
8) Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the data’s sensitivity (encryption in transit, access controls, logging). No system is 100% secure.
9) Children’s privacy
Our Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent. Youth classes require a parent/guardian to register.
10) Your rights & choices
Depending on your location (e.g., California/CPRA, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, EEA/UK GDPR), you may have rights to:
Access/know what we collect and how we use it.
Correct inaccurate information.
Delete your information (subject to legal exceptions).
Portability (receive a copy in a portable format).

11) International users & transfers
We operate in the U.S. and may process data in the U.S. and other countries. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) for EEA/UK data.
12) Legal bases (EEA/UK)
We process personal data under: contract (to provide services), legitimate interests (site safety, improvements, basic analytics), consent (marketing, certain cookies), and legal obligation (tax, compliance).
13) Third-party services
Our site runs on Wix and may integrate with: payment processors, email/SMS providers (e.g., Twilio/MessageBird), analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), video (Zoom/Meet), maps (Google Maps), and weather services. Their use of your data is governed by their privacy policies.

For shipped orders, the receiver pays all shipping charges and carrier accessorials. See Shipping Policy for details.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” shows the latest version. If changes are material, we’ll provide additional notice (e.g., email or banner). Continued use means you accept the updated Policy.
